Olivia Hoyt, LMHC, LPC

Mental health is something I’ve always held close to my heart, both personally and professionally. As a therapist with an understanding of anxiety and the challenges many individuals face navigating today’s world, I strive to create a supportive, affirming, and nonjudgmental space where clients can feel genuinely seen and understood.

My clinical experience includes four years working in inpatient hospitalization, partial hospitalization programs (PHP), and intensive outpatient programs (IOP), providing both individual and group therapy for adults and adolescents. I have experience supporting clients through concerns including anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, psychosis, complex trauma, neurodivergent-related challenges, and life transitions. I’m especially passionate about helping individuals navigate change, loss, and uncertainty. Grief can extend far beyond the loss of a loved one, it may also involve grieving the life you expected, relationships that changed, or versions of yourself you’ve had to leave behind.

Therapy can be a space to process these experiences with honesty, self-compassion, and support. In sessions, I use a trauma-informed approach grounded in empathy, acceptance, humor, and gentle confrontation, or “CAREfrontations,” as I like to call them. My therapeutic style incorporates evidence-based modalities including individual psychology, CBT, DBT, and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for trauma-specific concerns. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, empowered, and supported while allowing room for authenticity, connection, and even laughter along the way. Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time with family, friends, and my tortoiseshell cat! I’m passionate about inclusivity, equality, social justice, LGBTQIA+ rights, and community advocacy. In my free time, you can usually find me at a concert, baking, walking, or spending time with my book club.
